Simon Armitage (born May 26, 1963 in Huddersfield) is a British poet, playwright and novelist. He has lectured in originative writing at a University of Leeds in West Yorkshire, where he dwells, & at a University of Iowa.

When very much act inside film, radio & television, & much of promulgated poetry, Armitage wrote Entirely Points Northerly (1999), the collection of essays on the northward of England. A novel Little Green Human followed within 2001, & another novel, White Stuff within 2004.
